More about Melissa, Owner of Heartfelt Tokens
For ten years, I ran a home daycare and raised two kids of my own. When the recession hit, I started to look for another source of income—something I could love. I’ve always liked jewelry, so with the help of my sister-in-law, I started working with beads and designed my own creations. I knew I found something special. Before I knew it, I was investing in some hand stamping supplies and shortly after, opening my Etsy shop in 2010. My heart was happy!
Jewelry is Where the Joy Is…
I fell in love with making special keepsakes for people who are looking for gifts that go beyond the ordinary. From heart to handmade stamp, I craft necklaces, bracelets and more for her and fun tokens of affection for him such as golf ball markers. There’s a little bit of whimsy in everything I do, but I take each piece very seriously. After all, they’re meant to be an expression of love for my customers. Also, I take customer service to another level, working with every individual to come up with solutions that make them smile. One of the greatest pieces of feedback I received from a customer was that the recipient of one of my tokens cried tears of joy. That choked me up a bit too!
Simply the Best
My family is the most important part of my life and my success with my business helped me talk my husband into making jewelry as well. He specializes in silverware jewelry and is really
getting to the point where this may become his full-time job (he owns his own business now).
My two kids are everything to me and when I’m not putting in long hours growing the business, I love spending time with them.
Thank you so much for supporting handmade. I’m very glad you’re here.
